Attend UBC Preparedness Fair and Participate as a Volunteer at our Mass Care Open House!

PREPAREDNESS FAIR

UBC Emergency Management is hosting a personal preparedness fair on June 28, 2023. This event is designed to provide you with valuable knowledge and skills that can help you and your loved ones stay safe during an emergency.

Note that the preparedness fair is open to everyone; no sign-up is required.

MASS CARE OPEN HOUSE

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you were displaced during an emergency? On June 28, 2023, UBC will activate one of its Mass Care Shelter facilities at the UBC Tennis Centre. Following a major incident, emergency shelters may be activated to support displaced individuals. Participate as a volunteer ‘evacuee’ to allow us to simulate an emergency situation and practice the activation of our shelter. You will also be provided with free food, swag, and an unforgettable experience. So, come and be a part of something meaningful and help us make our campus more prepared.

Sign up now to be a volunteer for our Mass Care Exercise on June 28, 2023!

If you have any questions or accessibility needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to ready.ubc@ubc.ca.We all have a role in protecting ourselves and making our campus safe. To learn more about the risks in our community, how to be prepared and take action, visit https://ready.ubc.ca/
